- SILVER RING WITH THE SEAL OF MASTER KOLYO FICHETO REWARD
The reward is given for entire creative activities in the area of architecture and the realization of buildings, complex projects and settlement planning construction groups. It is awarded by the UAB Board of Directors in compliance with the nominations of the individual societies, clubs and members of UAB. It is bestowed at least once per three years period on the International Day of architecture.
- THE UAB BADGE OF HONOUR
The UAB badge of honor is given for considerable achievements in architecture, for fruitful scientific activities, teaching and publishing in the area of architecture as well as for organization activities in the UAB or on the occasions of anniversaries.
It is awarded by the UAB Board of Directors in compliance with the written recommendations or protocols from the individual societies or creative clubs and on the basis of the protocol of the Reward Commission. As an exception and for special merit to architecture the badge may be given to a non-member of the UAB under a decision of the Board of Directors.
- PRIZE FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERARCH EXHIBITION-COMPETITION WORLD TRIENNIAL
Interarch is organized by the Union of the architects in Bulgaria, The International Academy of Architecture and the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy once per every three years. The exhibition-competition is for:
- architectural projects and realizations;
- architectural books and magazines;
- graduation works of students;
- personal exhibitions;
- architectural projects in the Internet
The prizes are bestowed according to the decisions of the international jury. The UAB reward is one of the three great prizes of the triennial: a work of art, a medal and a diploma.
- PRIZES FOR PARTICIPATION IN EXHIBITIONS-COMPETITIONS OF NATIONAL AND CLUB REVIEWS OF BULGARIAN ARCHITECTURE
National and club reviews of Bulgarian architecture are carried out:
- exhibition-competition of the National review of constructed buildings, constructed groups and settlement planning realizations and architectural books – once per every three years (in the year of the UAB General Assembly);
- exhibition-competition of the National review of architectural and city planning projects – every year without the year of the realization exhibition;
- exhibition-competition of the club reviews of projects and realizations – upon the decision of the local society.
The awards are bestowed by a jury, nominated in compliance with a written order of the UAB Chairman for the national reviews or of the local society chairman for the local reviews. The prizes of the exhibitions-competitions for all reviews are:
- a cash prize with a diploma and a medal;
- a diploma
Any state, municipal, economic or other company can announce, determine and bestow special prizes at the national and local society reviews.
- REWARDS FOR GRADUATION WORKS OF STUDENTS AT THE ARCHITECTURAL DEPARTMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND GEODESY (UACG)
The prizes for graduation works are given every year at the exhibition and the promotion of the candidate architects in the building of UACG. The winners are chosen by a jury, nominated by an order of the Chairman of the UAB Board of Directors and professors, associate professors, assistants and part-time lecturers of UACG cannot be members of the jury. There are 7 rewards: the great reward of the UAB and six rewards for projects of the various UACG departments.
- ST. REV. PIMEN ZOGRAPHSKI REWARD
This is an annual reward of the UAB for Bulgarian orthodox architecture. It is given to architects for high achievements in new constructions, restoration, preservation, research and scientific publications on churches, chapels and monasteries.
- ARCHITECTURE AND ENERGY REWARD
This is an annual reward and is given by the UAB to graduation projects, based on the principles of energy efficiency. It is given in compliance with the nominations of the Architecture and Energy Club of UAB.
- OTHER PRIZES
With the assistance and co-ordination of the UAB any state, municipal or other company can announce prizes for architectural creation, scientific activities, teaching and publishing in the area of architecture. Such prizes are determined and bestowed in compliance with the Rules of the constitutors, coordinated with UAB.
These prizes are:
DOCTOR ARCHITECT ALEXANDER KHRISTOV RASHENOV REWARD -at the “13 Centuries of Bulgaria” Fund.
ARCHITECT OF THE YEAR REWARD
Founded by Arch & Art Exchange newspaper in 1994 the prize is given annually as a moral recognition of high creative achievements in the profession and promotion of the image of the architect as an intellectual and a creator.
BUILDING OF THE YEAR REWARD
It is bestowed annually since 2002 by the Building-The City newspaper with the purpose of distinguishing the achievements of the Bulgarian architects, constructors and investors by making a professional and social evaluation of the realized projects in the construction business in Bulgaria.
FACADE OF THE YEAR REWARD
It is bestowed by BAUMIT-Bulgaria with the co-operation of the United Sofia Architects Association SPSDA.
